Abstract
"The Dang Tren" is another name for the Cao Bang region under the Mac rule between 1593 and 1683. Based on various sources, this article presents an initial understanding of Confucian education and examinations of the "Dang Tren" - a subject that is currently understudied. This paper concentrates on investigating Ban Thanh School in Cao Bang - an education center of the "Dang Tren" and several Confucian scholars who contributed greatly to the region. Based on these surveys, this paper aims to generate new awareness about the history of the Mac dynasty in Cao Bang.
