Historical and cultural space of the Thanh region and Van Lai- Yen Truong in regional relations

Abstract

In North Central Vietnam, Thanh Hoa can be considered a region, a historical-cultural space. That space has many distinct natural, social and cultural characteristics because of its historical, social relationships and strategic geo-political, and geo-economic positions. Placing the historical-cultural space of Van Lai - Yen Truong in the Thanh country, in the regional and inter-regional relationship and comparison, especially considering the position of Thanh Hoa in the transition between the North and the North Central region, between the eastern coastal strip and the western mountainous, this paper aims to clarify the strategic position, economic potential and regional relationships of Tho Xuan area (Thuy Nguyen - the native land of the Le dynasty) - Thanh Hoa in the context of the country's history and the struggle for power between the feudal forces, restoring the throne of the Le dynasty in the 16th century.
