The resistance war against the French of the Southern people began on September 23, 1945, was launched and directly led by the Southern Party Committee. The Southern Party Committee is under the direct leadership of the Party Central Committee, which was the highest body responsible for leading the Party and people of the South. The situation and tasks of the resistance war in the South pose an urgent requirement to consolidate and overcome the division in the leadership agency, unify the Party Committee, and build a strong Southern Party Committee capable of taking on responsibilities to lead the people in implementing the policy of resistance and national construction in the assigned area. Starting from the situation and characteristics of the resistance war in the South, following the leadership of the Party Central Committee, responsible comrades in the Party Committee make efforts to unify the highest leadership body of the Party, and at the same time, build a strong Party Committee, and lead the people of the Southern region to push the resistance war into a new phase.
