In the first half of the 20th century, many active Vietnamese revolutionary organizations were based in the southern region of the Republic of China. The current understanding of their activities was, for the most part, unclear in detail thus, the collection and compilation of relevant publications from various sources on the topic of China-based Vietnamese revolutionary organizations are required. This paper introduces a literature review on recent Chinese scholarship of the China-based Vietnamese revolutionary organizations. This study also offers some remarks on the Chinese scholars’ use of primary and secondary sources as well as their approaches to this topic of research, before giving some other comments and assessments relevant.
