The development of human resources on information technology (IT) in Vietnam between 1993 and 2005

Abstract

 Information technology (IT) and IT human resources play important roles in Vietnam’s socio-economic development, especially in the age of information and digital revolution. Entering the Doi Moi period, the Communist Party of  Vietnam and the Government gradually became aware of the need to apply and develop IT in all economic sectors. To promote the role of IT, IT human resources is a decisive factor. The article aims to provide some understanding of the development of IT human resources in Vietnam from 1993 to 2005.
